A registrar is a government-appointed official who can legally marry you, following set scripts and guidelines within a 15 minute timeframe.
Celebrants come in lots of different forms, all with a slightly different angle. Their focus is on getting to know you and creating a ceremony which is unique to you. I'm a celebrant accredited by Humanists UK, creating inclusive, non-religious ceremonies for couples. Humanism values human rights, equality, empathy and ethics, values which many of us share. You don't have to define yourself as a Humanist to choose a Humanist ceremony.

You can get married in any venue, with or without a wedding license. You can get married outside, in your back garden, on the beach or on top of a mountain. The options are endless, and the world is your oyster.
Absolutely. Marriage equality should be for everyone, and whilst I understand that globally, we have a long way to go, when it comes to my celebrant work, I’m committed to creating inclusive and joyful ceremonies that honour love in all its forms. Read More about Wedding Inclusivity
